Ingredients

  • 500 grams of cooking chocolate
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 11/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • 11/2 cup of milk
  • 4 eggs – brown
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • ½ cup caster sugar

How to prepare a chocolate Truffle cake

  • Blend the chocolate and preheat the oven

Add slashed cooking chocolate and ½ cup of butter into a pan, then heat the mixture over a low fire until they blend and produce uniform color. After blending the mixture, remove from heat and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Then apply grease to your cake tin and heat up the oven to about 180o C for 5 min. Keep in mind that if you have more than one cake tin, you can oil every one of them to make a layered cake, else, you can likewise prepare one cake and afterward cut it into layers.

  • Mix the wet and dry ingredients together

Next, add eggs, sugar and vanilla extract to an enormous bowl and stir until you get a uniform texture. Add the chocolate mix and stir again until it’s completely blended. Then mix dry ingredients like flour, baking powder, sugar in a separate bowl and stir properly. Then add the chocolate mixture and blend it in with gentle strokes and then mix everything together properly

  • Bake the cake and make the filling

Pour the paste into the cake tins (or one cake tin) and bake for about 30 minutes. Next thing is to set up the fillings, add the remainder of the chocolate paste into a pan, include the caster sugar and whipping cream and blend them together. To prepare the chocolate ganache, heat the cream over low heat and immediately it’s about to start boiling, mix it together with the cooking chocolate in a bowl and whisk quickly until a uniform and delicious cream is produced.

  • Layer, design and serve

Allow the cake to cool down and keep them on the cooling rack for 10 min. If you want to layer a single baked cake, carefully place a plate over the cake and gently slide a saw-like knife across the cake, be sure to cut an equal surfaced layer. Add the filing to all the layers and a ganache at the top of each layer. This  method is also suitable for multiple cakes. Cut little cooking chocolates and sprinkle at the top and then serve.
